Beginning service in October 2011 the Illinois River Valley Public Transit is a "curb to curb" operation or a demand response system. A demand response transit service is comprised of vehicles operating in response to calls from passengers, or their agents, to the transit operator. The operator dispatches a vehicle to pick up the passenger(s) and transports them their destination.
How to ride:
Call and schedule at least 24 hours in advance to make sure there is available space.
Call and schedule as far ahead as possible to ensure availability.
Fees:
All passengers, unless covered by a pre-arranged contact, will remit according to the following fare structure.
Fares are subject to change.
Senior rides (60+) are provided on donation basis. Call for details.
