The Beardstown Chamber of Commerce is located inside the building at 101 W. 3rd Street, which once served as a courthouse, city hall, fire department and police station. On the 2nd floor, above the Chamber office, is the historical Old Lincoln Courthouse and Museum where a youthful Abraham Lincoln served as a lawyer in the Famous Duff Armstrong “Almanac” trail.
The Chamber of Commerce promotes businesses in the Beardstown area and some businesses throughout Cass County, IL. Some of the many cooperative regional efforts to promote the Beardstown area businesses include marketing members to the public in the Cass County Star Gazette, WRMS Radio Broadcasting LB Sports Productions (WVIL WKZQ) and social network media.
The Chamber of Commerce gives guided tours of Beardstown and the museum, promotes Beardstown businesses with the Buy Beardstown program, and organizes County-wide events like the Cass County Chase.
