Administration

 The Administration is responsible for:

• Acting as the point of contact for utility services and billing
• Voicing citizen concerns or complaints and providing information
• Accounting functions of the City, including preparation and monitoring of the annual budget
• Maintaining official records, including all City ordinances, resolutions, policies, and minutes
• Coordinating personnel services for the City

 The Administration oversees the following operations:

• Purchasing Division
• Voting Information

 The Public Information Officer (PIO) is responsible for the dissemination of information to the public through the City of Beardstown radio, television and print media. The Chief of Police acts as the PIO and provides field media contacts during incidents, information for release to the media concerning bulletins and lookouts, as well as updates on previous investigations.

The PIO is also responsible for maintaining crime statistics for the department and for maintaining the sex offender registry.
