The Administration Division consists of the Fire Chief, Deputy Chief, and executive secretaries. Administration provides overall support for the Department, including training, purchasing, public relations, and general problem-solving. The Administration Division is available at each station Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Emergency Medical Services
The City of Beardstown Fire Department provides high-quality Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at all times. To ensure that patients get the best care possible, our emergency process is continuously evolving through our Quality Improvement Program. Our paramedics are constantly trained through our in-house and Internet-based continuing education.
The City of Beardstown Fire Department delivers the services necessary to minimize the loss of life and property threatened by the hazards of fire, medical and rescue emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, and disaster situations in our community. Other responsibilities include preventative measures, such as hydrant inspections and first aid / CPR training.
The Fire Prevention Division provides educational programs to the public that are supervised by the Fire Marshal. Educational programs for all ages are held multiple times throughout the year, but can also be requested and held for groups at any time. It is the goal of the Training Division to provide training programs and opportunities that will enhance the efficiency of Beardstown firefighters. The City strives to provide the most up-to-date training techniques in order to retain a proactive approach to firefighting.
